Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Individual & Couples Sessions

Online or In-Person with Ira Yakubovitz, Certified MBSR Teacher (Centre for Mindfulness Studies, Toronto) and Registered Social Worker.

About the Program

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based program that helps people develop healthier ways of relating to stress, anxiety, and pain.

Through guided mindfulness practices and gentle exploration, participants learn to step out of habitual stress reactions and cultivate greater awareness, calm, and self-compassion. By learning to be more present, we can respond to life’s challenges with clarity and resilience.

Research in neuroscience shows that regular mindfulness practice can strengthen the brain’s capacity for emotional balance and stress regulation.

Program Structure

This program follows the curriculum of the traditional 8-week MBSR course, offered in a flexible and personalized format for individuals or couples. Sessions may begin at any time.

Eight consecutive sessions:

  • Individual: 80 minutes — $190 per session

  • Couples: 90 minutes — $210 per session

Silent Mindfulness Retreat

A key component of the program is a guided silent retreat at the end of the course.

  • Duration: 4–8 hours (customizable)

  • Cost: $110 per hour

Individual Mindful Self-Compassion Program

Online & In-Person with Brandi Matheson, Certified MBSR Teacher (UMASS & UCSD), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Teacher (UCSD), and Registered Therapeutic Counsellor.

Developed by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, the Mindful Self-Compassion program was designed to help individuals alleviate unnecessary suffering caused by harsh self-judgement. Self-compassion is defined as "the ability to be with ourselves in the face of suffering." This program combines elements of mindfulness, which involves being aware without harmful judgment, and self-compassion, which embraces self-kindness, care, and understanding.

This program can start at any time and follows the same curriculum and format as a group eight-week MSC Program in a flexible and a more intimate learning environment.

Eight consecutive 90 minute sessions (with exception to the first session which is 60 minutes and the fifth session which is 180 mins).
