ONLINE MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION (MBSR)

Plus a full day retreat Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9:30am to 4:00pm.

MINDFULNESS BASED COGNITIVE THERAPY (MBCT)

With Brett Peterson, MA, RCC and /or Marian Smith, MA, RCC, Certified MBSR teachers

September 27 - November 22, 2021

Eight Monday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm, plus a six-hour mini retreat on Saturday, November 6 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. There is no class on Thanksgiving Monday, October 11, 2021.

Classes are held in person at Mindful Living, 3263 Heather Street between West 16th and 17th.

Covid 19 precautions: everyone must be doubly vaccinated by Sept 13 and wear a mask. The room is a spacious 300 ft.² with room to physically distance. It will be ventilated to the outdoors and through a HEPA filter. Class size is limited.


In this program, we integrate cognitive behavioral therapy techniques with mindfulness practices. With practice, you will begin to develop a different and more compassionate relationship to negative thoughts, moods, feelings, and body sensations that significantly lowers rumination, anxiety, and depressive relapse.

In this course, you will learn to bring a non-judgmental awareness to habitual patterns of thoughts, emotions and behaviours that can lead to depression and anxiety, and develop an early warning system and take skillful action
to prevent relapse to depression and anxiety.

October 19th - December 7th, 2021.  *online through Zoom interactive video

Eight consecutive Tuesday evenings, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (with exception to the first and last session that are 3 hours).  Plus, one All-Day retreat on Saturday, November 27 (9:00 AM to 4:30 PM).

Sessions are normally held at our Centre for Mindfulness Canada, #107-3711 Delbrook Ave., North Vancouver (near Highway #1).  However, this program will be held online via Zoom for an interactive live face-to-face format.

Eight Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm plus a daylong session later in the course, date TBA.

We plan to offer this class in person at Mindful Living, 3263 Heather Street between West 16th and 17th with all the precautions listed below. However, if needed, we can switch to online platform part way through.
