MBSR ll: Working Mindfully with Difficult Emotions & Body States with Brett Peterson, MA, RCC and Marian Smith, MA, RCC


Eight Monday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM plus a six-hour mini-retreat on Saturday, June 15, 10 AM-4 PM. No class on Victoria Day May 20. Classes are held at Inner Evolution, 3263 Heather Street at West 16th.

We will address working with challenging mind states (anger, fear, worry and rumination, uncertainty and loss) and body states (pain, limitations). We will also explore the possibility of inner contentment. Classes involve mindfulness and loving-kindness meditation practices, gentle movement, teaching, and discussion.

This course is designed for those who have already taken MBSR or MBCT or have mindfulness meditation experience and wish to further their understanding and practice. For information and registration, please see our website

In this program, we integrate cognitive behavioural therapy techniques with mindfulness practices. Research shows that participants develop a different relationship to negative thoughts, moods, feelings and body sensations that significantly lowers rumination and depressive relapse
